Following twenty four years as a
church pastor, Rev. John Rice left parish ministry in response
to God’s call to focus more of his time and energy on restoring
and growing Jesus’ healing ministry in the church at large. He
describes his teaching ministry as a way
“to encourage, equip, and
empower God’s people for Jesus’ healing ministry”
in churches throughout
the United States. Most recently, John has developed a DVD
teaching series, “Equipping the Saints for Jesus’ Healing
Ministry” for use in churches and OSL Chapters.
In 2009, John began leading OSL mission teams to bring Jesus’
healing ministry to the Diocese of Durgapur, located in
northeastern India. OSL India, established in 2012, has grown to
five chapters. Their 256 gifted and well trained members provide
healing prayer ministry in their local churches and surrounding
communities (homes, hospitals, medical clinics).
John and his wife, Debra, live in
Burnsville, North Carolina. Family life, lots of gardening
and a little fishing keep him well occupied when home.
